Harker A3 28 Almaden Prep 27

A3 Basketball ends the season with a dramatic win. Simon Yang's basket with 30 seconds left gives the Eagles their only win of the season. Almaden Prep took the early lead and pressed the entire game and constantly put pressure on the group of young eagles. Prep was up by as much as 11 points. The Eagles cut it to 7 at the end of the fourth and continued to trim the lead. Then with 1:34 left, Harker took their first lead. After losing the lead on the very next posession, the Eagles didn't get discouraged and came right back to retake the lead. Defense, which had been their staple the entire 2nd half of the season, won them the game as they did not let Almaden Prep take another shot. Harker's A3 Boys won 28-27 in front of dozens of Eagle faithful.
